OGITECH PUTS LOCALLY MANUFACTURED TRICYCLE TO USE

Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa has taken a bold step towards innovation by introducing its locally manufactured tricycle fleet to ease campus transportation challenges.
According to the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye who made this known during the presentation of the locally made tricycle by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Institute, to the Governing Council of the Institute on Thursday, 28th March 2024 stated that his administration will continue to encourage innovation in every area of discipline within the Institute.
He further reiterated that the innovation center shall commence activities within a short period by producing more electric tricycles and drones, among others to solve the immediate needs of the Institute.
The Dean, School of Engineering Technology, Engr. Dr. Ayo Isaac Oyedeji commended the leadership style of Dr. Oluseye in ensuring the purpose of technical-based Institutions in Nigeria is actualized while commending Engr
Ayodele Abiola Noiki and Engr. Kaffo Omoniyi Paul, the Heads of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Welding and Fabrication, respectively for their support in making this long-awaited dream of the faculty actualized.
The tricycle fleet is set to revolutionize the transportation of examination materials during the 2023/2024 First Semester examination and beyond, marking a significant milestone in OGITECH’s journey towards innovation and sustainability.
