Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi Announces Resumption of Academic Activities for 2022/2023 Session

The management of the Waziri Umaru Federal polytechnic Birnin kebbi, kebbi state has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2022/2023 academic session.
According to the school management, registration and lectures will commence for new students on Monday 9th January, 2023.
Returning students are to resume on the same date 9th January, 2023.
The school management have also released the dress code to be observed by all students as it bans all forms of indecent dressing in the polytechnic.
Below are the dresses prohibited in the institution:
1. Wearing earrings, bracelets, and necklaces by male students.
2. Perming, dying or weaving of hair by male students.
3. Use of excessive make-up, coloured contact lenses and excessive jewelry by both male and female students.
4. Weird hair style and nail extension by both male and female students.
5. All kinds of tattoos.
6. Wearing of tight or transparent clothes including skirts, trousers, and blouses
7. Wearing of clothes that reveals sensitive parts of the body such as breast, chest, shoulders, belly, upper arms, buttocks etc.
8. Wearing skirts with slits above the knees, shorts, mini skirts and dresses which are not beyond the knee.
9. Wearing of the track suit, shorts, three quarter trousers, sleepless tops, shirts and jersey except for sporting activities.
10. Wearing of party wear, beach wear, under wear, tattered jeans, jeans with holes, palazzo, swagger or sagging-of trousers.
11. Wearing dark glasses (except on medical grounds), goggles and hippie glasses.
12. Wearing a hijab without proper underwear, wearing an after dress to cover indecent dressing and wearing kaftan without trousers.
13. Wearing of dress with provocative or rude messages, obscene and indecent inscriptions or pictures.
14. Wearing of jackboots and bathroom slippers.
15. Use of military or paramilitary camouflage.
16. Wearing of any dress that can lead to religious incitement.
17. Wearing of any attire that depicts cult, gang or violence.
18. “Signing out” (in all ramifications, within and outside the Polytechnic) to celebrate graduation.
The school management further warned that defaulter students will be suspended for one semester.
