VC Re-Affirms FUNAAB’s Global Partnership Goals

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde has reiterated the University’s interest in partnership in the areas of students and faculty exchange, joint research collaboration, as well as community engagement.
The Vice-Chancellor restated this, while receiving visitors from the University of California, United States of America (U.S.A) and Warsaw Institute of Aviation.
During the visit, Prof. Kehinde emphasised FUNAAB’s eagerness to engage with the global community, citing numerous signings of the Memorandum of Understanding as evidence of the University’s dedication to fostering international partnerships.
Highlighting the various areas of interest, the Vice-Chancellor listed community engagement as a crucial area the University would want to venture into, so as to see the role that could be played in order to better the lives of people, especially the youths.
According to him, though staff partnership and curriculum development were also other targeted areas of interest, the major concern were the students, adding that the University was interested in fostering collaborations that would assist the Nigerian youths.
Appreciating them for the visit, he assured them that the University would be looking forward to a more official, robust and fruitful visit in the future.
Earlier in his Introductory Remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of California, Prof. Daniel Okoli noted that the reason for their visit was to establish a collaboration with FUNAAB in some areas.
Prof. Okoli also the Chief Operations Officer of the university, added that the visit was a good avenue to establish contacts which in the future would be used to foster partnerships, commending the University for a beautiful environment.
Similarly, Dr. Lateef Erinfolami from Warsaw Institute of Aviation, Poland whose Institute specialises in proffering solutions to companies in electronics and aviation also indicated interest in partnering with FUNAAB in any area of their choice.
Meanwhile, the Warsaw Institute of Aviation is a research and development center established in 1926, located in Warsaw, Poland. The activities of the facility focus on providing design, engineering and research services in the field of aviation and aerospace.
