Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 Postgraduate Access Scholarships, with 50 awards available—each valued at £4,000.

These scholarships aim to support UK-domiciled students from underrepresented backgrounds by easing the financial burden of postgraduate education and offering a strong academic support network throughout their studies.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Be a UK-domiciled student (Home fee-status)
• Begin a 180-credit taught postgraduate course (full-time or part-time) in the 2025/2026 academic year
• Belong to at least one underrepresented group, such as:
  • Former participant in a widening participation scheme
  • Care leaver (in care for at least three months under local authority)
  • Student with a disability receiving DSA, DLA, or PIP
  • Black or other ethnic minority student
  • Estranged or bereaved of both parents and under the age of 25
  • Student with caring responsibilities
  • Student from a low-income household (income of £42,875 or less)

Note: Meeting the criteria does not automatically guarantee a scholarship. Selection is merit-based, and additional documentation may be requested to verify eligibility.
