PLAPOLY SUG kick Against #10,000 Late Registration Penalty

The Student union government of Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi, has kicked against #10,000 late registration penalty imposed on students by the school management.
The SUG president, Comrade Rotkang Nenfort In a press statement on Monday confirmed to POLYTV that the union is taking necessary steps to make the school management reverse the decision because there are Many students who had to do a part-time and menial jobs to sponsor themselves in school.
He urged the polytechnic students to remain calm and put their trust in the students union as they work to see that management reverse their decision on the penalty for late registration.

The President further said that the school management didn’t consult the SUG on the plan to charge #10,000 late registration thereby advising students to disregard the directive and continue with academic activities.
The president said,
“There was no dialogue between the student Union Government and school authority on their intention to charge students #10,000 for late registration.

“In view of these, students should disregard any publication whether on print media and their likes that doesn’t emanate from the school authority.”
He added that “Students will be briefed on any new development concerning this issue.”
