Apply for MTN Foundation Y’ellopreneur Program 2026 – Funding for Nigerian Female Entrepreneurs

Applications are now open for the 2026 edition of the MTN Foundation Y’ellopreneur Program, a strategic initiative aimed at empowering Nigerian women in business through entrepreneurship training, funding opportunities, and mentorship support.
The programme is designed to reduce unemployment among women while promoting business growth and economic inclusion. Through this initiative, the MTN Foundation continues to provide capacity building and access to finance for female entrepreneurs across the country.
In previous phases of the programme, over 5,700 female entrepreneurs received training in essential business skills, while more than 100 participants benefited from equipment loans valued at over ₦300 million.
For the 2026 cycle, the foundation is collaborating with the Bank of Industry Limited to implement a matching fund model valued at ₦1 billion. This funding structure is expected to expand financial access and accelerate the growth of women-owned businesses.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a female entrepreneur based in Nigeria
- Must own a business that has been operational for at least two years
- Business must operate within any of the following sectors:
- Agriculture and processing
- Manufacturing
- ICT and digital services
- Waste management and circular economy
- Preference may be given to businesses that utilize locally sourced raw materials
Benefits
Selected participants will gain access to a range of business support opportunities, including:
- Comprehensive entrepreneurship training
- Access to equipment loans ranging from ₦2 million to ₦3 million
- Grant opportunities upon successful loan repayment
- Business advisory services and mentorship support
Programme Structure
The Y’ellopreneur Program is structured to guide participants through key stages of business development:
- Entrepreneurial training for approximately 1,000 women
- Business plan development and evaluation
- Selection of top-performing candidates
- Access to funding through loans and grants
- Ongoing mentorship and advisory support
This initiative provides a strong platform for Nigerian women to scale their businesses, improve productivity, and access funding opportunities that can drive long-term success.
