PLAPOLY Finally Resumes as ASUP, NASU Suspend Strike

The Academic staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), Plateau State Polytechnic chapter have suspended their two months strike.
The strike which commenced in June by the Joint Union of Plateau institutions was suspended on Wednesday August 23rd after a Congress meeting.
The Union Secretary Mr Jilang confirmed this to POLYTV in a press release.
“This is to inform All JUPTI members that the Industrial Action which commenced with effect from 1st June, 2022 has been suspended with effect from Today, Tuesday , August 23, 2022.”
“All JUPTI members are hereby directed to resume work/duty immediately.”
PLAPOLY SUG President, Comrade Rotkang has directed students to resume with immediate effect following the suspension of the industrial action by the polytechnic lecturers.

According to a statement obtained by POLYTV, lectures and other academic activities will commence immediately.
“This is to officially inform all Plateau State Polytechnic Students that the industrial action embarked upon by the Joint Union of Plateaus State Tertiary Institution 1st June, 2022 has been suspended today been Wednesday 24th August, 2022…
“All students are hereby directed to resume back to campus immediately as this will be sacrosanct in harmonizing the already altered academic calendar. Lectures commence immediately, my greatest Nigerian Students, no additional week please…
“The Union wishes and prays for your journey of mercy as you travel back to campus.”
