Osun Poly Iree Students Reacts as Management Releases School Fees for 2022/2023 Session

The students of the Osun state polytechnic, Iree have reacted to the latest development regarding the approved school fee for the 2022/2023 academic session.

A document obtained by POLYTV shows the school fees for the new session range from 100k to 120k for full-time and daily part time students, a development which the polytechnic students described as shocking.

Meanwhile, the school management is yet to issue a statement or react to the school fees increments being circulated on social media.

Source told POLYTV that the supposed school fees are fake as the school management is yet to release the approved school fees for the 2022/2023 session.

Reacting to the school fees increment, a student Identified as Janet wrote “Ospoly pls reduce it nah beg I dey beg for the sake of us that are hustling to see ourselves through in school we no fit dey do hook up low key pls management before we pay house rent and other faculty and department dues hand out still join o abeg”

A Facebook user with the name Ola wale wrote: “I saw this and I’m still laughing. It is not a mistake or system error you all  will see. I remembered when I did my ND years back we paid 33k for tuition fee other charges was included. After 5years of my ND then I enroll for  HND in year 2020 which we’re graduate now and to my surprise our school fees of 33k then become 65k exclude bank charges. Now another set of average students will be paying #112,850 for a session. Haba! Ospoly management should be considerate”

Another student wrote, “This is the reason why school management can never intervene in the increment of the house rent. I knew it already that this is coming even landlords and land ladies are also planning again if you don’t know. Ospoly is my school, now consider the increment on the tuition fee do you think somebody who is sponsoring  himself or herself can afford this payment.And for those that our parents struggles so hard.”

The students appealed to the school management to review the school fees.
