OGITECH Rector Commissions engineering department’s Solar-Powered Water Pump

The Rector, Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Dr. Babatunde Oluseye on Monday commissioned a solar-powered water pumping machine which was developed by Electrical engineering students.
The Rector, during the commissioning commended the students’ initiative and its potential to benefit the entire Electrical Electronics student population.
“The Head of the department, Mr Osas, who initiated the idea and supervised the project till its completion hailed the departmental president for the role he played in the project, he stated that the project will reduce the struggle for water in and around the department as the students will henceforth have easy access to water pumped by the solar-powered pumping machine.”
This project which is the first of its kind in OGITECH was sponsored and built by the students themselves, as it aligns with the Rector’s vision of promoting development that extends beyond departmental boundaries and fosters a spirit of helping others.
The Rector’s commendation highlights the project’s potential to make a real difference in the daily lives of the students. By providing easier access to clean water, the solar-powered pump promises to improve campus life and well-being.
