IMAP Lafia Hosts North-Central Quality Assurance Assessors Training

In bid to meet up with the international Quality Assurance Assessors (QAAs) standard, the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) and Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has organized a training workshop on Quality Assessors Assurance (QAAs) for the beneficiary  Polytechnics in the North Central Zone.

The final one-week folder arrangements and signing off of the training workshop of the training, the participants will be certified as Quality Assurance Assessors.  The QAAs will be assessed and evaluated by the learners’ out Skills Development Centers leading to the award of National Skills Qualifications (NSQ) hosting at Isa Mustapha Agwai l Polytechnic, Lafia.

Welcoming the participants, Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Nurudeen Mu’azu Maifata said the training is apt and timely and commended the NBTE and TETFund for choosing Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia to host the event, noting that the training became necessary for the staff of the beneficiary Polytechnics in the North Central Zone.

He charged the participants to learn from each other so as to have a fruitful and results oriented training.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) Professor Usman Bugaje represented by the Usaini Mohammed extended the Executive Secretary’s profound appreciation to the Rector for graciously agreeing to host the training despite short notice. He said that the training workshop was the intervention of TETFund 2023 to organize the event.

The Executive Secretary urged the participants to be dedicated and hard-working so as to meet up with the requirements of the training.

He appreciated the Acting Rector, Dr. Maifata for the hospitality enjoyed by the attendees.

Participants were drawn from institutions across North Central Zone.
