NUC APPROVES 10 MORE COURSES FOR NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY SOKOTO

The National Universities Commission, NUC has approved additional 10 degree courses/programs for the Northwest University, Sokoto, Sokoto state.
The approval was granted following a request by the Northwest University management to add more courses to the academic courses of the institution
The approval was announced in the press release by the National Universities Commission NUC on Monday 20th May 2024 and signed by the acting executive secretary of the Commission Mr. Christ Mayaki
The statement further said that after an assessment visit made by the panel of experts from the National Universities Commission, the agency arrived at the conclusions on the additional of more Ten courses for the North-West University, Sokoto to enhance human and material resources for educational development
The courses are; LL.B. Law, MBBS. Medicine and Surgery, B.Sc. Nursing Science, B.Sc. Public Health and B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS.).
Others are, B.Sc. Environmental Health, B.Sc. Pharmacology, B.Sc. Mass Communication and B.Sc. Information and Media Studies as well as B.Sc. Public Relations.
The NUC added that the Degree programs approved will commence immediately for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The achievements is no doubt connected to the determination, initiative and focus by the Vice Chancellor North West University, Sokoto Professor Ahmad Maigari Ibrahim to develop the university.
