NIPOGA 2025 Medals Ranking: Top 16 Nigerian Polytechnics Ranked by Gold Wins

The 22nd edition of the Nigeria Polytechnic Games Association (NIPOGA) ended on a high note, showcasing talent, teamwork, and sporting excellence among Nigerian polytechnics. The event, tagged Ijakadi 2024, featured intense competitions across various sporting disciplines, with the grand finale seeing Federal Polytechnic Offa and Federal Polytechnic Nekede battling it out in the final of the football tournament.

Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti emerged overall champions with a commanding lead, clinching 29 gold, 15 silver, and 9 bronze medals, securing the top position on the medals table. Federal Polytechnic Offa followed in second place with 8 gold, 7 silver, and 19 bronze medals, while Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin claimed the third spot with 6 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze medals.

Yaba College of Technology and The Polytechnic Ibadan rounded out the top five, finishing fourth and fifth respectively.

Here is the updated medals table for the top-performing institutions at NIPOGA 2025:

  1. Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti – 29 Gold, 15 Silver, 9 Bronze
  2. Federal Polytechnic Offa – 8 Gold, 7 Silver, 19 Bronze
  3. Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin – 6 Gold, 6 Silver, 2 Bronze
  4. Yaba College of Technology – 6 Gold, 4 Silver, 16 Bronze
  5. The Polytechnic Ibadan – 5 Gold, 7 Silver, 11 Bronze
  6. Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia – 3 Gold, 0 Silver, 1 Bronze
  7. Osun State Polytechnic, Iree – 2 Gold, 4 Silver, 6 Bronze
  8. The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki – 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 6 Bronze
  9. Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Kebbi – 2 Gold, 2 Silver
  10. Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Zaria – 1 Gold, 5 Silver, 3 Bronze
  11. Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Bronze
  12. Federal Polytechnic, Ede – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
  13. Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
  14. Federal Polytechnic, Nekede – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
