NAPS Calls on FEDPOLY ILARO Management to Reverse School Fee Increment

The National Association of polytechnic students (NAPS) has called on the Rector and management of the Federal polytechnic Ilaro to reverse the school fee increments for the 2022/2023 academic session.
NAPS faults the school management for being Inconsiderate in their decision as they mandated students to pay school fees before the deadline given or forfeit their admission.
The students body described the school fee and house rent increments in the polytechnic and the polytechnic community as unacceptable, urging the Rector to as a matter of urgency reverse the school fee to status quo.
“The National Association of Polytechnic Students stands against the purported increment in school fees and hereby calls on the Management of Federal Polytechnic, to make the necessary amendment. The hike in school fees has not showcased the Federal Government’s responsiveness towards promoting inclusive education; even in a Federal Government owned institution….
“For a huge increment in school fees and also student’s house rent in this era of financial instability, the decision made by the management of this federal institution as well as giving the students a stipulated deadline, the National Association of Polytechnic disagrees..

“This is so disheartening to all polytechnic students and we urge the management of the institution to reconsider and rescind their decision. We would like to persuade the rector to not start his administration with the hike in student’s school fees as this action will not be tolerated by our Association.”
“The National Association of Polytechnic Students therefore urges the management of Federal Polytechnic, to revert the decision.”
