The Federal Polytechnic Mubi was established in Yola along with six other Federal Polytechnics by Decree No 33 of 25th July, 1979.The Polytechnic was established primarily to provide full time, part-time courses of instruction and training in technology, applied science, commerce and management and in such other fields of applied learning. The vision of the polytechnic is to build the most modern Polytechnic that will supply the local-global economies with the best human capital and knowledge-based services.

The Federal polytechnic Mubi operates on two campuses: The main campus in Mubi and the Mini campus at Yola, the capital city of Adamawa state.  The polytechnic offers National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and Pre-ND programmes. The courses in the institution can be studied as either part time or full-time. 

To gain admission to Federal Polytechnic Mubi, ND Applicants are required to write UTME while HND applicants do not need to write any aptitude test. Part time programme does not require JAMB as it is direct entry but full-time programme requires the need to write and pass the minimum cut off mark for admission consideration.

Federal polytechnic Mubi school fees are Affordable and cheap.  Registration fees + Tuition fee + portal charges for new students = #45,0000. 

Returning NDII and HNDII students = #33,000 / #40,000 per session depending on your department.
