Lists of The Courses Offered by Edo State Polytechnic Usen (EDO POLY) And Their School Fees

Edo State Polytechnic formerly Edo State Institute of Technology and Management), came into existence with a bill signed into law by His Excellency the executive Governor of Edo State, Chief (Dr.) Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion on 19/12/02.

The polytechnic is located in Usen Town, Ovia Southwest Local Government Area of Edo State. It occupies the premises of the former Elawure Grammar School. The Land area is about 3 Square miles or 4.8 square kilometers.

The Mission of the polytechnic is to train qualitative middle level manpower with technological skills and develop their managerial abilities to be entrepreneurially innovative through firm practical and theoretical knowledge rooted in intensive research.

EDO POLY PROGRAMMES.

The polytechnic offers full-time and part-time programmes at both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Level. The full-time programme is for students who were admitted through Jamb while the part-time programme doesn’t require JAMB as it’s direct entry. You can gain admission to Edo poly without Jamb through the part-time program.

There is not much difference between the full-time and part-time programmes as both students will be issued the same certificate. The major difference is school fees.

REQUIREMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMS:

1. Five Credit level Passes in G.C.E ‘O’ level, Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) or NBTE at not more than two sitting. The

2. Five subjects must include Mathematics and English Language and any other three Subjects in relevant areas. And must have scored the required cut-off mark in the current UTME in addition to other requirements that will be determined thy the Admission Board from time to time

REQUIREMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

1. The minimum entry requirements into the Higher National Diploma Programmes are as follows:

2. National Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic in an accredited Programme, with at least the lower credit pass.

In addition, candidates must have acquired not less than one year post ND Diploma cognate experience. In an exceptional cases ND Diploma with pass (CGPA OF 2.0, 2.49) in the ND examination with two or more years of cognate experience in specific field may be considered for admission into the HND programme

3. ND Transcript from candidates who obtained their ND from other Polytechnics.
