Adamawa State polytechnic was established in 1991 through a merger of the College of Preliminary Studies Yola and the Staff Development Institute Numan.
The mission of the school is to Provide full-time and part-time courses of instructions and training technology, the sciences, commerce, humanities and other fields of learning relevant to the needs of the community, as the Council may from time to time.
