Petroleum Training Institute is located in Effurun, Warri, Delta south, Delta State. The institution is a Federal polytechnic polytechnic and  National and Higher National Diploma awarding institute. The polytechnic was established in the year 1973.

The Petroleum Training Institute offers a rigorous academic program with a history of excellence in Engineering, Safety and Environmental Studies, Oil and Gas, Welding and Offshore Technology, and Computing. We provide a rock solid foundation that challenges students to make contributions to today’s Oil and Gas, and Allied Industries.

The institution is one of the best to study engineering related courses. The polytechnic runs on full-time, part-time and weekend programmes for about 20 courses.

The General cut off mark for admission consideration in UTME is 130. The Institute also offers admission to candidates that choose them as first or second choice.
