INDECENT DRESSING: HERITAGE POLYTECHNIC THREATEN TO SANCTION STUDENTS

The Management of Heritage Polytechnic, Akwa Ibom State, has said that henceforth, Indecent dressing is prohibited on campus and any defaulter student will be made to face the penalty in accordance with the school law.
The polytechnic registrar while addressing students on Friday 15th July said that the security unit had been informed to enforce the law prohibiting indecent dressing and urged the students to abide by the rules to avoid embarrassment.
Some Prohibited dressing include unkempt / artificial hairs, earrings, jeans having holes, crazy jeans, sagged trousers, miniskirts, tights, leggings, tattered jeans, short blouses, braless tops amongst others.
The polytechnic registrar said all these modes of dressings are marked INDECENT and will henceforth not be tolerated by the institution.

He said, “All should please note that Heritage Polytechnic is built on the cornerstone of Christian philosophy where academic excellence, moral consciousness and spiritual uprightness are paramount, encouraged, attainable and celebrated. These sterling qualities shall not be traded for anything….
“As from today, Friday, 15th July, 2022, any form of indecent / improper dressing on campus is pronounced prohibited and all affected students are by this notice, advised in their best interest, to refrain from such unethical practices by always dressing decently while coming to school, as Management shall not hesitate to take appropriate sanction(s) against any defaulter. Meanwhile, our security men have been instructed to return any improperly dressed student from the gate as from Monday, 18th July, 2022.”

He advised the polytechnic students to always dress decently. “Please always dress the way you want people to address you.”
