Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic Students Set to Benefit from Water, Electricity, Transport, and More Following SUG-Management Breakthrough Meeting

Kazaure, Jigawa State – In a landmark meeting between the Student Union Government (SUG) executives of Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, and the institution’s management, several pressing issues affecting students were addressed, with concrete resolutions reached to improve campus life.
The high-level dialogue, chaired by SUG President Ibrahim Kamarudeen and Secretary General Muhammad Adam Okpanachi, resulted in critical decisions on water supply, electricity, transportation, and welfare of students.
Boreholes to Tackle Water Scarcity
The meeting acknowledged the dire water scarcity on campus, prompting the management to approve the immediate drilling of boreholes at strategic locations within the school premises. This move is expected to provide a sustainable and long-term solution to the lingering water crisis.
Electricity Woes to Be Fixed Across Campus
Students can also expect relief from frequent power outages as the management agreed to fix electricity issues in various departments, colleges, and hostels. This intervention is aimed at restoring reliable power for academic and residential purposes.
New Student Center on the Way
Plans for constructing a modern student center were also unveiled. The center will serve as a hub for academic support and extracurricular activities, offering students a conducive space for both learning and relaxation.
School Bus Shuttle Service to Launch Soon
Addressing transportation challenges, the management announced the approval of a school bus shuttle system to ease student mobility on campus. The SUG executives expressed readiness to work with the administration to ensure a smooth rollout of the much-needed service.
Official Cancellation of Some Appointees
The meeting also covered internal administrative issues, with management affirming the cancellation of certain SUG appointments. Emphasis was placed on maintaining due process and accountability in such decisions.
Niger Students’ Registration Crisis Highlighted
One of the major concerns raised was the plight of students from Niger Republic who have yet to receive registration numbers despite completing their payments. The SUG noted that this has led to academic difficulties and exclusion from certain benefits. The management assured immediate action to resolve the issue.
