How FCMB’s New Mobile App Lets You Invest in Mutual Funds and Grow Your Money
FCMB Introduces Mutual Fund Investment Feature on Its Mobile App

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has launched a new digital feature that allows customers to open investment accounts and directly invest in mutual funds through its mobile application.
This innovation represents a major leap in FCMB’s mission to offer customers a seamless, all-in-one financial experience — combining banking, payments, and wealth management on a single digital platform.
Simplified Access to Mutual Funds
With the new update, users can now access a variety of mutual fund products managed by FCMB Asset Management, including:
- Legacy Money Market Fund – A low-risk investment option for those seeking short-term liquidity and capital preservation.
- Legacy Equity Fund – Designed for growth-oriented investors looking to benefit from the stock market.
- Legacy Debt Fund – Focused on stable income through local-currency bond investments.
- Legacy USD Bond Fund – A dollar-denominated investment option ideal for those interested in foreign currency exposure and portfolio diversification.
Each fund caters to different investor goals — from steady income generation to long-term capital appreciation — allowing customers to choose options that best match their financial needs and risk appetite.
Enhancing Digital Banking and Investment Experience
According to Yemisi Edun, Managing Director of FCMB, the new feature goes beyond convenience.
“We are building a connected ecosystem where banking, payments, and investments work together to serve customers’ broader financial needs. By integrating mutual fund investments into the FCMB Mobile App, we empower users to move easily from saving to investing — all within one trusted platform,” she said.
In the same vein, James Ilori, Chief Executive Officer of FCMB Asset Management Limited, highlighted the company’s mission to democratize investment access:
“Our goal is to make wealth creation simple, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. By adding mutual fund options to the FCMB App, we’re enabling anyone, anywhere, to invest confidently and build a sustainable financial future.”
Driving Financial Inclusion Through Technology
This initiative is part of FCMB Group’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at creating a unified financial ecosystem. The integration connects banking, investment, and asset management services — allowing individuals and businesses to grow wealth conveniently and securely from their mobile devices.
Customers can now download or update the FCMB Mobile App via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to start investing instantly.
