Governor Oyebanji Hails Hon. Ogunlola at College of Health Ijero Lecture Theatre Commissioning, Describes Provost as a GOAL-GETTER

The Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji has promised to support the lofty aspirations of the current Management of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, under the leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Cecilia Olajumoke Adebayo.
Governor Oyebanji who made the promise while speaking at the commissioning of the 500-seater lecture theatre donated to the College by Hon. Omowumi Ogunlola, described the Provost as a goal-getter and a determined leader.
The Ekiti Governor, who acknowledged the need for Government’s intervention in the College, urged her Students to be patient with Management, as meaningful development could only be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of rancour.
While praising the project facilitator and lawmaker representing Ijero/Ekiti West/Efon Federal constituency at House of Representatives, Hon. Omowumi Ogunlola, the Governor called on other notable indigenes of Ijero to support the quest for infrastructural development in the College, noting that Government cannot do it alone.
In her remark, the Project facilitator, Hon. Ogunlola hinted that the 500-seater lecture theatre is in the category of her Educational support projects spread across her Federal constituency.
She expressed her resolve to assist the young generation in the quest to see their potentials realized.
Earlier, the Provost, Dr. Cecilia Olajumoke Adebayo had acknowldged the Governor’s quality support, magnanimity and benevolence to the College, since he assumed office in October 2022.
She described the donation and completion of the 500-seater structure as divinely orchestrated and timely, considering the gross infrastructural deficit in the College.
The Provost, while appreciating Hon. Ogunlola for recently facilitating the installation of 15 stands of Solar powered Street Lights to the College community, appealed to the Governor to consider in due course, the institution’s previous requests including; provision of an ambulance, Sports Centre, Completion of Ultra-Modern Library that has been on foundation level for the past 10 years, Increase in subvention, provision of Staff/ Students’ buses, tarring of the College internal roads, provision of a BEDC transmitter to connect the institution to the national grid, completion of the COVID-19 RRS facilitated Health Centre and the much talked about upgrade of the College to a Polytechnic.
The project commissioning that featured presentation of gifts to the Governor and the Project Donor by the College Management, Staff and Students’ Body, was attended by Government functionaries in the Ekiti State Executive and Legislative arm, the Queen of Ijero Kingdom; Ölörì Àbíké Ädéwölé and the Äjërò in council, the Bishop of Ekiti West Anglican Diocese; the Rt. Rev. (Dr.) Cornelius Ädágbádá, the College Deputy Provost; Mr. Kayode Abolarin, the Registrar; Mrs. Caroline Ogunsakin, the Bursar; Dr.(Mrs.) Funmilayo Alonge and the Librarian; Mr. Folorunsho Olayinka, Deans, Directors, Heads of Department, Union Leaders, as well as Staff and Students.
