Full Tech Scholarship 2026: Zinox Group Awards N10 Billion to 1,000 Nigerian Students

Zinox Group has announced a N10 billion scholarship scheme aimed at sponsoring 1,000 underprivileged Nigerian students to pursue Computer Science degrees in federal universities nationwide. The initiative is managed through the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation (LSEF) and commemorates the 70th birthday of the Group’s Chairman, Leo Stan Ekeh.

The scholarship is designed to cultivate a new generation of highly skilled tech professionals who will drive innovation, promote Nigeria’s digital independence, and support national economic growth. Instead of holding a lavish birthday celebration, Ekeh chose to invest in human capital development, focusing on long-term technological advancement.

Comprehensive Support and Mentorship

Beneficiaries will undergo holistic development programs that extend beyond technical education, preparing them to become global technology leaders. Scholars will be selected nationwide based on intelligence quotient benchmarks, age criteria, and financial need, particularly focusing on students from families earning below Government Level 10 or the private sector equivalent.

Each student will be paired with a technology mentor from the first year of their studies. The program also plans to collaborate with the Computer Society of Nigeria to provide ongoing mentorship and professional guidance throughout the course of the scholarship.

Program Timeline and Expectations

The first batch of beneficiaries is expected to begin their studies in September 2026. Ekeh expressed confidence that the scholars will graduate with first-class degrees and be well-equipped to compete globally, thereby enhancing Nigeria’s position in the international digital economy.

The initiative reflects Zinox Group’s commitment to long-term technology-driven development and strategic investment in Nigeria’s knowledge economy. The scholarship also serves as a gesture of appreciation to the nation and to the individuals and corporate partners who have supported the growth of Zinox’s technology ecosystem over the past four decades, including TD Africa, Zinox Technologies, and Konga.

Broader Impact

By providing access to quality education, mentorship, and career guidance, the Zinox scholarship scheme aims to:

  • Build highly skilled tech professionals capable of global competition
  • Strengthen Nigeria’s digital independence
  • Promote economic growth and innovation in the technology sector
  • Support sustainable knowledge-based development

This program highlights the growing role of corporate social responsibility initiatives in shaping Nigeria’s technological future and empowering young talent.
