FG begins recruitment into Immigration, Civil Defense, others today

The Federal Government on Monday opened the portal for recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service.
The recruitment portal was initially scheduled to commence on June 26. It was, however, postponed to Monday, July 14, 2025. This was disclosed in a statement released in June.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), wishes to notify the general public that its recruitment portal, which was earlier slated to open on Thursday, 26th June, 2025, will now open on Monday, 14th July, 2025,” the statement read in part.
The recruitment exercise seeks to employ personnel into the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The recruitment is open to male and female Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 who meet minimum physical and medical standards.
Checks by The Guardian at around 10:00 am on Monday morning showed that the recruitment was scheduled to commence one hour and thirty-five minutes later.
