Federal Poly Ado Notice to All graduating Students on Correction of Names

The management of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has said that it would no longer entertain irregularities on the correction of names by students at the point of clearance.
The school management in a circular signed by the polytechnic registrar stated that all graduating students must ensure that the names on their o’level result tally with that on their Jamb profile.
The school management said further that any student who wishes to drop or add to their names must make a sworn affidavit and newspaper advertisement for change of name.
The circular reads:
“It has come to the notice of the Management that there are many irregularities on correction of names by students at the point of collection of their Statement of Result Certificates, which is becoming quite alarming as it was observed that the names on “O” Level Statement Certificate does not tally with the Jamb Admission Letter of some students….
“In view of the above, all Incoming and Graduating Students are hereby advised to ensure that the name on their Admission Letters should be the tally with the name on their “O” Level Result.”
“Matriculation Oath Form, the Students’ Bio Data Form, the Broadsheet and their final Clearance Form. Surnames must be written in Capital letters or underlined where applicable.”
“Henceforth, Students who wish to add drop name(s) to their records should make a sworn affidavit and Newspaper advertisement for change amendment of name(s) to this effect and forward it to the Committee of Deans for consideration.”
“Students are to note that correction of name(s) after collection of Statement of results will attract additional fee.”
“The Admission Officers Departmental Office/School Officers/ Clearing Screening Officers are to take note of the above and ensure that all Incoming Graduating Students comply.”
