The President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Comrade Festus Oyewumi, has praised the Ekiti State Government for converting the College of Health Science and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, into a polytechnic.
Describing the move as a welcome development in the state’s education sector, Oyewumi commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration for its commitment to expanding technical and vocational education. He emphasized that the upgrade would provide students with better learning opportunities and improved academic resources.
“The conversion of the college to a polytechnic is a testament to the government’s dedication to quality education. It will have a lasting impact on students and the broader community,” he stated.
The NAPS president extended his congratulations to the students and management of the newly upgraded institution while appreciating the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and other stakeholders for their efforts in making the transition a reality.
He assured the institution of NAPS’ continued support in ensuring the success of the polytechnic and the development of its students.
“Ekiti State deserves recognition from NAPS, and we will work towards honoring the government for this achievement,” Oyewumi concluded.
