Ekiti Governor Commissions Dr. AROKODARE Building, Describes COHESTI Provost Adebayo as Astute Resources Manager

The Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji has described Ijero-Ekiti born Philanthropist, Dr. Abiodun Arokodare and his wife, Mrs. Grace Arokodare as rare breeds in the order of Aare Afe Babalola and Asiwaju Wole Olanipekun.
Governor Oyebanji who made the remark while commissioning a storey building donated to the Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti by the couple also applauded the College Provost, Dr. (Mrs.) Olajumoke Adebayo not only for ensuring industrial harmony amongst Staff of the College but also for effectively utilizing the Institution’s meagre resources.
The Ekiti Helmsman hinted that he took his time in constituting a Governing Council for the Institution, and expressed optimism that the Dr. Femi Thomas led Council will take the Institution to enviable height.
Governor Oyebanji who urged Students of the State-owned College of Health to avoid engaging in any act that might lead to closure of the Institution, stressed the need for Staff and Students to sustain existing peace and industrial harmony in the College, as a means of showing appreciation to the project Donor.
In her address, Provost of the College, Dr. Mrs. Olajumoke Adebayo appreciated Governor Oyebanji for his love and passion for Educational Development, which she hinted was evident in the increase of Government’s monthly subvention to the College, as well as the financial support for the Institution at its last NBTE accreditation.
The Provost also hailed the Ajero of Ijero-Ekiti, Oba Adewole Adebayo for his immense support for the College, which he hinted served as motivation to the Donor.
Dr. Adebayo further urged other notable indigenes of Ijero Community, eminent personalities in Ekiti State and others across the globe to emulate the kind gesture of Dr. Mike and Mrs. Grace Arokodare.
She had earlier acknowledged the immense contribution of Principal Officers, Staff and Students as well other stakeholders to the developments so far recorded in the College since mounting saddle as College Provost on 2nd October, 2020.
Addressing the ecstatic gathering, the Donor, Dr. Abiodun Arokodare, represented by his wife, Mrs Grace Arokodare thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji for always giving listening ears to matters that concern Ijero.
She in turn acknowledged Royal Fathers in Ijero Community as well as Individuals and Bodies that ensured prompt delivery of the project.
In separate interviews, the College ASUP Chairman, Medic Oluwatuyi Victor as well as the Institution’s Student Union Executives
appereciated the State Governor and the Donor for having the love of the Institution at heart.
The new storey building houses 12 lecture halls, as well as befitting offices suitable for senior lecturers, 32 toilet facilities, 4 stores and cafeteria, borehole system for supply of potable water, amongst other amenities.
