Education Minister to Meet NYSC DG in March Over Exemption of Part-Time and HND Graduates
“As I told the students at Yaba Tech, the Federal Ministry of Education and our agencies stand with you. The Presidency stands with you as well. You should not be exempted from participating in NYSC,” he stated.

The Minister of Education has assured Part-time ND, HND, and conversion students that they should not be exempted from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), promising that a solution is on the way.
Speaking at Yaba College of Technology, the Minister acknowledged receiving numerous messages and letters from affected students regarding their NYSC exemption. He reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the issue.
“As I told the students at Yaba Tech, the Federal Ministry of Education and our agencies stand with you. The Presidency stands with you as well. You should not be exempted from participating in NYSC,” he stated.
To further push for a resolution, he announced plans to meet with the Director-General of NYSC in March to discuss the matter.
“A solution is on the way,” he assured, raising hopes among affected students that the policy may soon be reviewed.
