Breaking: Nekede Polytechnic Rector Threatens to Sanction Lecturer Extorting Students

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa FNSE, JP has threatened to sanction lecturers extorting students through various means.
Some of the polytechnic lecturers are found in the habit of compelling students to buy their handouts and textbooks which is against the school management policy.
The Rector said that henceforth any lecturer or staff found guilty of extortion shall be sanctioned.
Dr Michael stated this while Receiving the executives of the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) and he vowed that the identity of the complainant will be protected.

The Rector further directed the servical unit to protect the identities of students who make reports to them and with this courageous action by the Rector, the ball is now in the courts of students to be bold enough to expose extortionist lecturers and workers who sell grades, services, makes textbooks compulsory as well as seeks sexual gratification.
According to FEDPONEK GAZETTE report, these acts of exploitation and intimidation are mostly experienced by students from lecturers, screening officers and some other units where students have transactions to make.
