BAYELSA TOURISM INSTITUTE STRENGTHENS TIES WITH 16 BRIGADE

The Management of the International Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State 12th December, 2024 paid a courtesy visit on the Commander 16 Brigade Nigerian Army, Yenagoa, Brig. Gen. O.O. Obolo.
Speaking during the visit, the Rector, Prof. Apuega R. Arikawei thanked the commander for gracing the Institute’s last matriculation ceremony held in Yenagoa.
Prof. Arikawei who said “it was only imperative for the Institute to acknowledge the delegation especially for the cordial working relations with the 16 Brigade like his predecessor while in office.
He sought for greater collaboration with the Brigade in the area of capacity building of wives of officers and men to enhance their skills and in order to effectively integrate them to be self_reliant after retirement.
Responding on behalf of the Brigade, Brig. Gen Obolo expressed happiness over the visit noting that the develoment will further strengthen the existing ties with the Institute.
Brigadier General Obolo described the Institute as a very supportive ally and assured the management that the Brigade will continuously reach out to it’s officers and men to take advantage of the Institute rich vocational programmes.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of plaques and a group photograph.
