ASUP STRIKE: EDO POLY SUG TASK MANAGEMENT TO SETTLE LECTURERS
The Students Union government of Edo state polytechnic have tasked the school management to as a matter of urgency settle all outstanding issues with the polytechnic chapter of ASUP so that the students can resume for the continuation of academic activities without further delay.
The students Union frowned At the resumption message passed across to the students Which led to to the medical situation of some students, upon resumption academic activities is yet to commenced.
“We are appealing to the management of the polytechnic to as a matter of urgency resolve all outstanding issues with the polytechnic chapter of ASUP So our students can resume lectures within the next two weeks.”
The Union also lament on the state of insecurity on campus as they Call on the school management to reinstate students paramilitary Group on campus to cushion Criminal activities within the polytechnic community.
Students Union also wants management of the polytechnic to revisit the polytechnic health Care centre to improve on health care provision to students by providing ambulance and Other medical supplies to the health centre.
Further more the SUG stated that harassment of female students by male security Staff would no longer be tolerated And also call on the management to address the deplorable state of the campus hostel.
The union concluded by appealing to the school management to ensure accreditation of yet to be accredited programmes adding that a place of worship should also be provided to the Muslim students.
