ASUP Shutdown Unwana Poly, Say Strike Continues

The Chairman of The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana chapter, Mr Okoro has said that the internal strike by the Polytechnic lecturers would continue till further notice.

Mr Okoro warned the Polytechnic lecturers against attending to academic activities such as lectures, practicals quizzes or tests while insisting that untill the school management meet all their demands then the Union would resume.

Mr Okoro said,  “The Two Weeks national warning strike has been called off and our internal strike starts in earnest on Monday May 30, 222.

“All members of ASUP Unwana poly chapter are enjoined to obey the decision of Congress to proceed on strike until our demands are met.”

POLYTV correspondent reported that, there were  no academic activities in  unwana poly on Monday 30th May as the Chairman of ASUP goes round the campuses to check the level of compliance and has shut down all academic activities till further notice.
