Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State – Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku has officially announced the commencement of admission into its National Diploma (ND) Regular I & II and Higher National Diploma (HND) Regular I & II programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

ND Admission Requirements

Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE (WAEC/NECO), GCE O’Level, NABTEB or its equivalent in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

Candidates must have sat for the 2026 UTME in subjects relevant to their proposed course of study.

Eligible Candidates

• Candidates who chose Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku as first or second choice and scored 100 and above in the 2026 UTME.
• Candidates who did not choose the Polytechnic but scored 100 and above can also apply.
• Such candidates must complete a Change of Institution on the JAMB CAPS portal before applying.
• Candidates seeking a change of course must also complete the appropriate JAMB CAPS procedure.

The Polytechnic emphasized that applicants who fail to comply with these procedures will not be considered for admission.

HND Admission Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• A National Diploma (ND) from a recognized and accredited Polytechnic or Monotechnic in a relevant discipline.
• A minimum of Lower Credit in the ND programme.
• At least one (1) year Industrial Training experience after ND.
• Candidates with Pass grade in ND must possess a minimum of two (2) years Industrial Training experience.
• Five (5) O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
• Candidates must have been admitted into their ND programmes through JAMB.

Method of Application

Interested candidates are required to:

1. Visit the Polytechnic admission portal.
2. Click on the appropriate ND or HND Application Form.
3. Complete the online application form.
4. Pay the prescribed screening fee online using a Verve or MasterCard-enabled ATM card.

Screening Fees

• ND Applicants: ₦2,000
• HND Applicants: ₦15,750
• Additional Application Fee: ₦12,500 (as stated by the institution)

Screening Exercise

The screening exercise will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Candidates are advised to:

• Present relevant credentials and evidence of registration.
• Ensure all information supplied during application is accurate.
• Note that any false information may lead to disqualification.

Clearance Requirements for Successful Candidates

Successful candidates offered admission will be required to appear with relevant documents and credentials for screening and clearance at the Admissions Office.
