Al-Hikmah University hosts Prof. Margarita Salvadori and explores collaboration opportunities
Al-Hikmah University recently welcomed Prof. Margarita Salvadori, Visiting Professor of Jurisprudence and International Law from the University of Torino, Italy. During her visit, Prof. Salvadori met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf, and other key officials to discuss potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.
The meeting, which took place at the university’s main campus, saw Prof. Salvadori engaging with the Dean of the Postgraduate School, Prof. A.O.Y. Raji, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Bayero Mariam, the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. S.L. Nurudeen, and the Director of the Centre for Research, Industrial Linkage, and International Cooperation, Dr. Yusuf Suleiman.
The discussions centred around exploring possibilities for staff and student exchange programmes, grants, and other collaborative initiatives that would benefit both universities. Prof. Salvadori expressed her enthusiasm for potential partnerships, highlighting the strengths of the University of Torino in the fields of jurisprudence and international law.
The Al-Hikmah University team, led by the Vice Chancellor, reciprocated the interest, showcasing the university’s research capabilities, academic programmes, and internationalisation efforts. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further explore collaboration opportunities and develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise the partnership.
This visit marks an important step in Al-Hikmah University’s efforts to strengthen its global connections and enhance its academic and research programmes through international collaboration.
