AKWPOLY SUG Meets With Transport Commitee to Review Transportation Price

The Student union government of Akwa Ibom state Polytechnic recently had a meeting with Akwa Ibom State Transport committee as they deliberate on the fixed price of transportation from the Polytechnic to Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom state and vice versa.
The meeting was Presided over by the Polytechnic DSA and SUG Director of transport amongst others.
According to a statement obtained by POLYTV, The price of Transport fare will remain#300 till the conclusion of of first semester 2021/202 Examination.

“In view of the current increment of the Transportation fare by Akwa Ibom State Transport Committee, the Students Union President had enlarge meeting earlier today with the Committee Members.
“The meeting was presided over by the Dean of Students Affairs Mr. Emmanuel Umo, director of transport, director of information and others which aimed at Pending the new increment of the transportation fare from Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic to Uyo and vice versa.

“In view of this, seeing the plight of the Committee Members and that of the students, the price for the transportation fare still remain unchanged #300 (three hundred naira) till the end of the forthcoming examination and for further upward review.”
The student union added that “No Student is advised to pay more than #300 until after the forthcoming examination and further upward reviews”
