AKWAPOLY Speaker Tasks Newly Sworn-in Executives on Effective Representation

The Speaker of the 8th Raffia Republic, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Obot has tasked the newly elected and inaugurated executives of Public Administration on the need to prioritize effective representation.
He gave the charge on Monday, 22nd, August, 2022 at Akwapoly Students Centre while administering the oath of office and Allegiance to the new executives.
Addressing the students, Obot described student leaders to be people who’s virtue of power have been given to stand as a mediator between the students and management of the institution.
He noted that their habitual concerned should be for the growth, and welfare of the students, thereby putting aside personal interest and other activities that will be to the detriment of the students, management and Polytechnic community at large.

Also speaking, the Eleco Board Chairman, Hon Peter Etukudo congratulated the newly elected and sworn-in executives for scaling through the electioneering process successfully, while charging them to stay alive to the problems that may approach in the course of leading the students.
In his welcome address, the newly sworn-in President, Comrade Nnana Sifon appreciated the entire students, the Head of Department, Public Administration, Dr. Paulinus Ekpo, the Dean of Students Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Umoh, the management of the institution, the Speaker 8th Republic, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Obot as well as the security personnel for the free, fair and credible election that saw to his victory as the President.
He, however, assured the students of his readiness and support to ensure his impact as the President is felt maximally in the Department and institution at large.
