AG. RECTOR FEDPOLY DAMATURU CONFERRED WITH SIR AHMADU BELLO PLATINUM AWARD

In his short period in the helm of affairs of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, the Acting Rector Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua has garnered a recognition with the conferement of prestigious Sir AHMADU BELLO platinum award.

The award was conferred on him on Monday by the Northern Youth for Good Leadership and Good Governance (NYGLG)

Earlier, while presenting the award to the Acting Rector, the president of NYGLG Engr. Labaran Abubakar disclosed that they were in the Polytechnic on behalf of the northern youth to celebrate with Dr. Babale for his passion and commitment toward the promotion of educational development and critical infrastructure.

In his acceptance speech, the Acting Rector appreciate them for the recognition which serve as an assessment of his stewardship.
This according to him will make leaders to leave up to expectation.

He therefore, urge them to continue in that direction.

In his goodwill message, the Dean School of Management Sciences Dr. Lawan Cheri described the recognition of the Acting Rector as recognition of the Polytechnic, according to him it is very much in need. Also in her goodwill message, the Dean Student Affairs Dr. Hafsat Ahmad expressed her gratitude with the award conferred on the Acting Rector, urging the leadership of NYGLD to encourage youth to patronise the institution Entrepreneurship Development Centre for them to help themselves.

In her vote of thenks, the Deputy a registrar Staff Training and Development Hajiya Aisha Yerima who stood in for the Registrar Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu appreciate the NYGLD for the foresight in recognizing the Acting Rector.
