Embezzlement: Unwana polytechnic SUG President Reinstated after NANS Intervention

The management of the Akanu Ibiam Federal polytechnic unwana has reinstated the Students Union president, comrade Eze Nweze.
This comes a few days after the National Association of polytechnic students (NAPS) and National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) paid a working visitation to the school management over the issue that led to the suspension of the SUG President.
During the visitation, the students body concluded that the school management should set a disciplinary committee to investigate the allegations leveled against the president.

They(NANS) also condemned the group Called Association of past SUG Presidents of Polyunwana which they described as a threat to the Students of the institution.
The school management had earlier suspended the president over allegations Of embezzlement of funds and Abuse of office which has caused mixed reaction on social media.

However, a document obtained by POLYTV from the Dean of Students Affairs on Thursday September, 2022 confirmed that the SUG President has been reinstated to office while investigation is still going on the matter.
The document reads,
“Following several appeals from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), members of the Polytechnic Community and also, the unconditional apology rendered by the suspended SUG President, we hereby revoke the Suspension. Further investigations are on-going on the matter.”
Meanwhile the report trending in some speculated areas that the SUG President embezzled 3 million naira is false as the school management didn’t disclose the actual amount that the SUG President failed to account for.
