NANS elects new leaders for JCC, Oyo axis

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Joint Campus Committee, JCC, Oyo Axis, has elected new leaders with Comrade Tiamiyu Taiwo Ademola, emerging the Chairman.
In a statement on Sunday by Comrade Ademola, which was also endorsed by Comrade Kareem Habbed, the Vice Chairman and Comrade Annuoluwapo Opeyemi, the
Public Relations Officer, the body thanked the Oyo State government and other stakeholders for the support in holding a successful and hitch-free convention.
“On behalf of the newly elected executive team of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council (NANS JCC) Oyo Axis, we would like to extend our profound gratitude to the Oyo State government for their unwavering support and commitment to student welfare. Through the office of the Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs, the state government demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of empowering and uplifting the student community by providing the resources and oversight necessary to conduct a peaceful, free, and fair convention. The successful outcome of the convention is a testament to the government’s dedication to creating a conducive atmosphere for student representation and leadership.
“We would also like to recognize and appreciate the student stakeholders across Oyo State, whose active participation and cooperation made this event a resounding success. Their presence and insights were invaluable, serving as a reminder of the strong unity that exists within the student community in Oyo State. Additionally, we extend our sincere gratitude to the esteemed Senators from various institutions—Student Union Presidents and other key leaders—who not only ensured that their respective institutions were well-represented but also played crucial roles in upholding the values of fairness and transparency throughout the convention process.
“Our gratitude would be incomplete without acknowledging the Department of State Security (DSS) for their vigilant presence and support. Their efforts in ensuring the safety and security of everyone in attendance allowed for a smooth and well-organized event at the School of Nursing, Ibadan. We recognize that the role of the DSS was instrumental in preserving order and creating an environment where every voice could be heard without fear or intimidation.
“As the elected leaders of NANS JCC Oyo Axis, we want to assure the student community that our team is fully committed to fulfilling our electoral promises. We understand the weight of the trust you have placed in us, and we promise to advocate tirelessly for the interests of students across Oyo State. Our administration will prioritize initiatives that enhance academic welfare, promote skill acquisition, and address critical challenges that affect our day-to-day lives as students.
“We are driven by a vision of inclusivity, empowerment, and unity. With your continued support, we are confident that we can create lasting positive changes within our campuses and beyond. Together, we will work to ensure that the voices of students remain strong and that our needs and aspirations are well-represented at every level.
“Thank you once again for your support, trust, and encouragement. We look forward to a productive tenure, filled with meaningful progress and achievements for the student community.”
