7 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Move Into Your Boyfriend’s House

7 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Move Into Your Boyfriend's House

Love is one of the most wonderful feelings anyone can experience, and having someone who loves you as much as you love them makes you feel complete.

However, if your relationship has gotten to a stage where you and your boyfriend are considering shacking up and moving in together or where your boyfriend is asking you to move into his house, this article provides reasons why you shouldn’t move in with him.

Most people think living with their boyfriend before getting married will strengthen their relationship, make them better prepared for marriage, and help them understand their partner better. While this isn’t completely true, there are some dangers associated with moving into your boyfriend’s house.

Below are some of the reasons why you shouldn’t move into your boyfriend’s house.

1. MARATHON SEX.

Moving into your boyfriend’s house may seem like the best option, but obviously it’s not, as this will expose you to marathon sex. In fact, you might become a sex addict as a result of this. Marathon sex can result in an unwanted pregnancy, and an unwanted pregnancy leads to abortion, which sometimes costs one’s life. It is okay to spend time with your boyfriend, but you shouldn’t take the risk of moving in before getting married.

2. HE SEES YOU AS CHEAP.

Moving into your boyfriend’s house and performing the roles of a wife might look normal, but it isn’t. Your boyfriend may see you as cheap because you’re always available for him. Why would he struggle to get you when you offer yourself on a platter of gold? There are other women who are hard to get, and when it’s time to get married, he will pick from those who he hasn’t tasted. If you don’t want to be seen as a “cheap girlfriend,” then you shouldn’t move into your boyfriend’s house.

3. HE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.

If you want to be respected as a woman, you must avoid the mistake of moving into your boyfriend’s house. The fact that he introduces you to his parents shouldn’t be a reason to move in with him. It is possible your boyfriend takes advantage of your presence in his house, and this experience can be frustrating for your mental and physical well-being. Until he legally exchanges wedding vows and walks down the aisle with you, you shouldn’t move in with him.

4. WHAT HAPPENS IF WE BREAK UP?

Like I always tell my clients, there is no guarantee that a relationship will last forever, so what happens if eventually you realize that you are not meant for each other? Of course, breakups happen because relationships are 50/50. It’s either you win him, or you lose him, so what happens if you break up? You may be the biggest loser here. If a man is eager to have me, why doesn’t he just put the ring on?

5. FINANCIAL PROBLEMS.

Managing your financial obligations can be terrible if you move in with your boyfriend, as now you will start to think about doing things together, which may cost you more spending than expected.

6. LIMITATIONS TO YOUR FREEDOM.

Being in a relationship shouldn’t limit our freedom because we’re in a relationship and not a bondage, but if you move into your boyfriend’s house, your freedom could be limited. You may no longer have the freedom to visit your friends or have your friends come over to pay you a visit. There are times that you just need your privacy and be alone, and this can be challenging if you move into your boyfriend’s house.

7. PEOPLE ASSUME YOU ARE A HUSBAND AND WIFE.

Moving into your boyfriend’s house will make people see you as husband and wife because you will be living together under the same roof. People can even give you names like “Queen Naomi,” whereas you are yet to be legally recognized as his queen. If a man is eager to have you as his queen, then he should walk through the aisle with you and put on the ring.

Besides, how do you expect a man to value you when you sold yourself cheaply to him? No matter the status of your relationship, you shouldn’t perform the role of a wife for a boyfriend. Boyfriends and husbands aren’t the same. You could travel to your boyfriend’s place and spend some time together, which is vital for every healthy relationship, but moving into your boyfriend’s house should be the last thing you will ever do as a woman.

While some people see cohabitation as a means to take things to the next level, living together before getting married is one of the quickest ways to kill the romance in the relationship, as there may no longer be the urge to impress and motivate each other.

In summary, moving into your boyfriend’s house when you’re not married will make you look cheap to him. There are chances that your boyfriend may constantly disrespect and take advantage of you. By the way, it doesn’t always end well, so save yourself the stress and don’t make this mistake of moving in with him, so you won’t have to regret it later.
