YABATECH Management Alert Students About Extortionists on Campus

The Management of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) have alert the college students to be aware of some people within and outside the College extorting unsuspecting students and parents through phone calls.
The school management made the announcement through a circular on Wednesday. The circular reads:
“The Management attention has been drawn to the nefarious activities of certain unscrupulous people within and outside the College extorting parents and students of the institution through phone calls…
“Parents of students have been scammed of paying fees ranging from Departmental dues and strange amounts on behalf of their wards which the College never authorized.”
“Consequently, parents, guardians, staff and students are herewith enjoined to make clarification of any phone call seeking them to make any form of fees or dues on behalf of their wards, endeavour to get details of the scammers and report same to the appropriate authority for necessary action.”
