VIDEO: Fedpoly Ilaro Student Union Distributes Palliatives to the Less Privileged
The Students’ Union Executive of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of its members by distributing food palliatives to less privileged students on campus and those that are currently taking treatments at the campus school clinic.
This gesture was made possible through the kind efforts by the wife of our dear father and Rector, Mrs. Akinde, the the wife the former Rector, Mrs. Aluko.
The distributions which was done by all the Central Executive council led by the President Comr Macaulay Boluwatife Olamilekan and the leadership of the Students Representatives Council led by the Speaker Rt Hon Makinde Oyindamola Oluwasegun.
In a gesture aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by some students who are currently writing their first semester examination, the union distributed essential food items to those in need of it and not just distributing to anyhow students who might not need it at the end if the day.
This act of kindness is part of the union’s efforts to ensure that no student is left behind due to financial constraints and also part of the promises made by the students executives during their electoral campaign which brought them into office earlier last week.
A large number of students benefited from the palliatives, and the union’s executives were present to oversee the distribution and interact with the beneficiaries.
According to the Union’s President, Macaulay Boluwatife Olamilekan, “We recognize that some of our students face significant financial challenges, and we are determined to support them in any way we can. We believe that every student deserves access to basic necessities like food, and we are committed to making a positive impact in their lives.
The beneficiaries were happy to have received this kind of gestures from the students Union body and prayed for them to have the best of tenure in office and also appreciated Mrs Akinde who remembered them in this trying period.
This kindness didn’t come as a surprise, because the Rector himself Dr Mikhail Aremu Akinde, FCA has always prioritizing the welfare of all the students at large.
Other students Union executives that joined the president in the distribution are Comr Shofoluwe Adenike, Vice President, Comr Egberongbe Samuel, General Secretary, Rt Hon Makinde Oyindamola, Speaker, SRC, Comr Kareem Rofiat, Assistant General Secretary, Comr Afolabi Rihanat, Welfare Director, Comr Akanni David, Social Director, Comr Mulero Paul, PRO, Comr Yahayah Wadudah, Financial Secretary, Comr Idowu Hassan, Sport Director, and Comr Oderinde Peter, Treasurer.
The students Union
Executives of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the well-being of its members, and this gesture is a testament to their unwavering commitment which shall continue till the end of their tenure as promised by the executives.
This act of kindness is a testament to the Students’ Union Executive’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of its members.
The President Comr Macaulay Boluwatife thanked the donor for this support to the students and described this heart of kindness as a motherly love. We pray Almighty God continue to bless you for your support, he said.
