You Have Done Great Things For Me; Dr. Okunlola Ariyo Appreciates  Ibarapa Staff Indigenes in OYSCATECH

The former Deputy Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Dr. Ariyo Okunlola  has expressed his immense gratitude to the Association of Ibarapa Staff Indigene for the office complex built in his honour.

Dr Okunlola made this known during his address at the official commissioning of the building complex held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the 800-seater Lecture Theatre of the institution.

According to him ” My brothers and sisters of Ibarapa Origin, you have done great things for me. My own words will not be enough to thank you. May God Almighty thank you for me.”

He recounted how he joined the Academic Staff of the institution in August 2008, and how he rose to the rank of Chief Lecturer and retired in October 2020. He narrated how he had seen the OYSCATECH recorded notable development at different times.

In his words, ” We grew into Polytechnic from a monotechnic. We grew from five programmes to over 30 programmes. We grew from schools to faculties. We grew from a few Academic Staff to a large Academic family and we are still counting.”

Dr Okunlola thanked the Chairman, of the Association of Ibarapa Staff Indigene, Mr Oladokun, and his team for their persistent effort to make the association a great one.

Dr Okunlola noted that one lesson,  he has learnt from the Association is that with love, determination, and unity, there is nothing impossible to achieve coupled with prayers.

In his remarks, Dr. Okunlola appreciated the community leaders and traditional rulers present at the event while requesting for their unflinching support for the current Rector of the institution – Prof. Kehinde Akinlabi towards actualizing a successful tenure.

Dr. Okunlola then encouraged the Ibarapa Staff Indigenes in Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora to keep up the good works, while praying for God’s lifting  and abundant blessings for them.
