At least three individuals, suspected to be students, have been injured in a violent cult clash at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree (OSPOLY), with one victim reportedly sustaining a severe head injury.
According to reports, the clash broke out in the early hours of today following gunshots allegedly fired by members of a suspected cult group, triggering fear and chaos across the campus.
Sources revealed that the violence stemmed from a confrontation between two rival cult groups — the Buccaneers and the Supreme Eiye Confraternity.
In a disturbing video obtained by POLYTV, a three-man gang was seen brutally attacking a man near the institution’s microfinance bank.
All injured individuals have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. Security operatives have launched an investigation to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
