Unijos Professor Appointed Bingham University Pro-Chancellor

The Board of Trustees of the Bingham University, Karu Nasarawa State has appointed Professor Andrew Haruna as the University’s new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council. The appointment is for a period of five (5) years and took effect from 31st March, 2023.
A consummate Academic and internationally acclaimed scholar, Andrew Haruna is a Professor of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages from the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Jos. He is the immediate-past Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State.
Professor Andrew Haruna’s appointment is contained in a letter signed by Dr. Arome M. Okwori, Secretary of the Bingham University Board of Trustees on behalf of the Proprietor of the University, the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) through its President and Chairman of the Bingham University Board of Trustees.
The Letter noted that Professor Haruna’s appointment is in recognition of his track record of dedicated service to God and Humanity. The Bingham University’s Board of Trustees believes this will spur him as he brings his wealth of experience and goodwill to bear in the discharge of his duties.
