BREAKING: LASUSTECH Fires Three Lecturers Over Sexual Harassment Allegations

In a bold move to uphold integrity and student safety, the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has dismissed three staff members following confirmed allegations of sexual harassment.
The Governing Council announced the immediate dismissal of the following individuals after a thorough investigation:
- Mr. Nurudeen Hassan – Department of Mass Communication
- Mr. Kareem Arigbabu – Department of Arts & Design
- Mr. Olayinka Uthman – Department of Arts & Design
The decision aligns with Section 5.5.2(v) of the University Senior Staff Conditions of Service and takes effect immediately.
According to the university, this action underscores its zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct and reaffirms its commitment to creating a safe, respectful academic environment for all.
“The image of the institution and the well-being of our students are paramount,” the council emphasized, urging all staff and students to uphold the university’s core values.
