Student union Advise Students to Stay Indoor as Gunmen kill 40persons in Owo Poly Community

Gunmen in the early hours of Sunday 5th June, 2022 stormed St Francis Catholic Church, Owa Iluwa street in OWO, a community hosting Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, killing 40persons.
The victims of the attack who sustained various degree of injuries has been rushed to FMC hospital in OWO where they are currently receiving treatment.
The National Association of Ondo state Students (NAOSS), OWO POLY chapter has advised students to remain indoor till when peace will return to the community.
According to a statement obtained by POLYTV from NAOSS President, Comrade Bele which reads,
“This is to notify the general public, especially the student community that if you have resumed or you are anywhere in Owo right now, kindly stay indoor and stay safe, because of the pandemonium in the community presently.
“We pray that non of us shall become casualty of this bad incident and the full protection of God shall continue to be with us all throughout this period and beyond, in Jesus mighty name (Amen)”
