Pharmacy Council of Nigeria Lauds Innovative Practices at Ijero College of Health

The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria has lauded the Management of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti for adopting 21st century techniques in impacting knowledge to Students, particularly those in the Pharmacy technician cadre.
Speaking at the institution’s conference room during a re-accreditation briefing exercise, Pharm. Gbenga Lasekan who led a team from the Council’s board, described facilities in the College’ computer room as top notch.
Pharm. Lasekan further commended the College’s electronic library system as well as the internet-enabled TV smart system in her Pharmacy laboratory.
While welcoming the accreditation team, Provost of the College, Dr. (Mrs.) Olajumoke Adebayo noted the institution Management’s commitment to uplifting academic standard, and retaining her seat as a pacesetter for other middle-level health-based institutions in the Country.
Dr. Adebayo however urged the Pharmacy Council to increase the students’ quota to the College, in order to allow the institution to admit more persons willing to train as Pharmacy technicians.


On his part, the Deputy Provost, Mr. Kayode Abolarin posited that, Pharmacy Technician graduates of the College, spread across different organizations within and outside Nigeria, had over the years been doing the institution proud.
He assured that the College of Health Sciences and Technology Ijero-Ekiti will not relent in training and shunning out graduates that are capable of competing favourably with their counters across the globe.
The meeting was attended by; the College Registrar, Mrs. Caroline Ogunsakin, the Bursar, Dr.(Mrs.) Funmilayo Alonge, the Librarian, Mr. Folorunsho Olayinka, Head of Audit, Mr. Taiwo Dosumu, the Dean, School of Opthalmic & Intervention Science, Pharm. Jimoh Fasoro, the Pharmacy Head of Department, Pharm. Oke Silas as well as the School Officer, Mr. Bodunde Sunday amongst other Academic and non-teaching Staff.
