OKO-POLY NASU JOINS ASUP, DECLARES INDEFINITE STRIKE

The Non Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated institution (NASU), Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra state Chapter, have on Thursday 28th July 2022 declared an indefinite strike over the failure of the school management to address their demands as the two weeks warning strike issued earlier expires yesterday.
NASU secretary, Comrade Eze Chukwuma disclosed this to POLYTV today In an internal memorandum directed to the Union members.
All NASU members have been notified to withdraw their service from the institution until further notice.
The memo read,
“Following the expiration of a-14day warning strike embarked upon by the union, it is regrettable that little or no action is been taken to address our demands. Consequently, all NASU members are directed to proceed on indefinite strike with immediate effect.”
This is coming few weeks after The Academic staff Union of polytechnics (ASUP), oko Poly chapter declares an indefinite strike.
POLYTV gathered that, the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) met with with the school management and the striking lecturers and staff but the meeting ended in deadlock.
