NASU-AIFPU DECLARES TWO WEEKS WARNING STRIKE.

The non Academic staff Union of educational and associated institutions, Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana (AIFPU Chapter has declared two weeks warning strike with effect from Wednesday 8th June, 2022 over their key demands which the union claims the management is unable to fulfill.
After meeting held on Tuesday 7th June, the Union arrived at a conclusion of embarking on two weeks warning strike and thereby instructed their members to stop work till the management attend to their demands within the next two weeks.
This directive was contained in a statement credited to the Secretary of the union Comr. Tommy, John D. and the Chairman, Comr. Jude, E Edeogu during an interview session with the DOI SUG and PRO SUG in the meeting venue.
Sequel to this, Both Academic and Non Academic activities in the Polytechnic has been Shutdown.

POLYTV had earlier reposted how The Academic staff union of Polytechnics, Asup, (Poly Unwana Chapter) declared an indefinite strike over some of their demands which are yet to be met by the school management.
A student of the Polytechnic identified as Blessing who spoke with POLYTV blamed the school management for the strike as she urged the school authority to as a matter of urgency reach a final resolution with the Academic and non academic staff for students so that students can continue with academic activities.
