NAPS Commends Ekiti State Polytechnic as Rector Pledges Support

The Rector of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu-Ajeigbe, has lauded the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) for their unwavering commitment and efforts to promote and uphold Polytechnic education in Nigeria.
Dr. Osinkolu-Ajeigbe gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by the national executive of the association to his office on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
The Rector expressed his full support for the association, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the growth and development of Polytechnic education. He also urged NAPS members to continue being exemplary ambassadors of Polytechnic institutions in shaping the future of Nigeria’s higher education.
Earlier, the association led by its national president Com. Festus Oyewumi, described Ekiti State Polytechnic as one of the fastest-growing Polytechnics in Nigeria owing to its recent infrastructural developments, which was attributed to the leadership and vision of the Polytechnic.
A former NAPS president Otunba Benedict Adetunji who emphasized the primary objective of the visit, noted that it was to formally introduce Com. Toba Otitoju, a student of Ekiti State Polytechnic, who was recently elected as the National Treasurer of NAPS during the association’s national election in Minna, Niger State. Otunba Benedict appealed to the Polytechnic Management to provide full support for Comrade Toba in his national assignment.
In response, Dr. Ajeigbe assured the association of the Polytechnic’s continued support and expressed confidence that the association would actively promote and project the institution in a positive light as promised by the association.
The NAPS delegation pledged to continue promoting the Polytechnic and projecting its achievements at the national level.
